Celebs Turn to Harrisburg, PA for Representation |
While the lives of the rich and famous rarely seem to intersect with small town Harrisburg, PA, the law firm of Rhoads & Sinon LLP is proud to announce the addition of Brett Scallions, new lead singer for the founding members of legendary rock band THE DOORS, to their growing list of celebrity clientele. Scallions, formerly of the multi-platinum band FUEL, turned to Todd Shill of Rhoads & Sinon LLP for representation after being selected to front THE DOORS founding members Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger, now performing as RIDERS ON THE STORM. While Harrisburg, PA may seem an unlikely fit for national recording artists, the law firm’s entertainment group is led by a trio of attorneys who are intimately knowledgeable about the entertainment industry as they are, themselves, local entertainers. Shill – a musician and filmmaker who has appeared on Dateline NBC – believes this personal involvement gives them an advantage over metropolitan law firms. “We offer legal services on par with the established big city entertainment firms, but also share a passion for the arts with our clientele,” Shill said. Scallions was referred to Rhoads & Sinon LLP by FUEL’s former Business Manager Greg Epler. Torr Pizzillo of UNTIL WE RISE, along with Epler, also referred former FUEL drummer Kevin Miller to the firm. Miller, now founder and drummer for Silent Majority Group recording artist FOSTERCHILD (fosterchildmusic.com) explains, “As fellow musicians, their legal team is incredibly supportive of our work. They not only provide legal services that are second to none, but also attend our recording sessions, gigs, and were even instrumental in getting our new single, “Sugar Cookie”, played during stadium sporting events. I have worked with big city firms and you simply cannot find that dedication and personal attention elsewhere.” Shill also represents on-air TV and Marconi Award-winning radio personalities, authors, screenwriters, and film directors in their negotiations with the Sundance Film Channel, FOX, NBC/Universal, and Cumulus Media. He believes that Rhoads & Sinon LLP’s Harrisburg location is also part of the attraction to the recording artist clientele. “Pennsylvania is native to many talented and successful entertainers and still only a few hours from New York City, where many of the labels are headquartered. This allows us to be fully engaged with the companies contracting with our clients, without having to pass along the exorbitant overhead costs of a big city law firm,” Shill said. Other musicians such as Top 10 Billboard and A&M and Ark 21 recording artists The BADLEES, critically acclaimed roots rockers THE CELLARBIRDS, and up and comers PAN.A.CE.A have also found a home at the firm. Marc Levin, a member of the firm’s entertainment group and guitarist for local band HotWingJones, works closely with many of these home grown clients. And, professional athletes look to Rhoads & Sinon LLP’s Kevin Gold, an NFLPA certified sports agent, for representation. Having parlayed his passion for the sport into a professional livelihood, Gold boasts a clientele that includes NFL athletes with the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, and the Houston Texans. His extensive sports and entertainment practice has been prominently featured in the national media, including the USA Today, Los Angeles Times and New York Daily News. Rhoads & Sinon LLP represents a diverse group of companies and individuals in the entertainment and sports industries, including national recording artists, screenwriters, independent filmmakers, authors, television and radio personalities, and professional athletes. |
