Thomas A. French

Thomas French is the Firm’s senior business litigator, with 25 years of trial experience handling numerous cases through verdict and appeal.  His diverse practice includes cases involving products liability, banking disputes, insurance law, corporate ownership and control controversies, defense of professional malpractice suits, contract, trade secret and unfair competition claims, and fiduciary liability issues.  Mr. French focuses on representation of financial institutions, insurance companies, manufacturing and service companies, and business owners as well as individuals.

Mr. French’s practice organization model employs a team approach to winning cases.  This system  emphasizes the efficient utilization of  our associate attorneys -the best recent graduates from regional law schools- and our trained paralegals,  combined with Mr. French’s courtroom experience and leadership.  The Firm also employs the latest technology and software necessary to effective trial presentation of evidence, as well as to comply with the complex electronic and other discovery rules in place in most courts today.


EDUCATION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Mr. French graduated first in his class from Duquesne University School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 1983), where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Duquesne Law Review.

Mr. French is a Reserve Officer in the United States Army, currently serving as a Judge Advocate in the Pennsylvania National Guard.  He is a Veteran of the War in Afghanistan, where he was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.

Named one of “Pennsylvania’s Super Lawyers” in Philadelphia Magazine, Mr. French has qualified for membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum on multiple occasions.  He is a graduate of the Leadership Harrisburg Program.  Mr. French was also selected as Harrisburg Magazine’s 2007 Reader’s Choice for Business Law Attorney.
