Michael W. Winfield Michael Winfield is a partner in the Firm's Litigation Department, and concentrates his practice in the areas of Construction Law, Public Contracts, Commercial Litigation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Mr. Winfield also serves as Chair of the Firm's Construction Law Practice Group. Mr. Winfield regularly represents public and private owners, contractors and subcontractors in all facets of construction and public contract law, including contract document drafting and review, contract negotiations, procurement and public bidding, project administration, claims review and analysis, litigation avoidance, and claims litigation and resolution. He routinely serves as special counsel to school districts, municipalities and public authorities throughout the Commonwealth on construction related matters. In addition to his construction practice, Mr. Winfield has extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial litigation and business disputes in both federal and state courts. Mr. Winfield's practice also includes counseling clients on various forms of ADR, including mediation and arbitration, and serving as a neutral mediator. He has significant experience representing clients in these forums as an alternative to traditional litigation. He received his mediator training from the highly regarded Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law, in Malibu, California.
